If the Licensee does not wish to be bound by the Agreements, the Licensee cannot access, use or download the Font Software. The problem occurs on the Inkscape canvas.This Dalton Maag Ltd Free Licence Agreement becomes a binding contract between the Licensee and Dalton Maag Ltd when the Licensee commences a Font Software download, or if the Licensee is acquiring Font Software on a permanent medium, when the Licensee opens the package in which the software is contained. The text is appropriately italicized in the browser. The selected text should have changed to italics. The updated style is shown in the text toolbox and the style in the toolbar at the top, but the highlighted text on the canvas doesn't change.


I understand that this might be because maybe these fonts don't have the italic ttf, but it used to work on v1.1 before the upgrade (simulated italics?). The font preview in the text tool box shows a italic preview when CTRL+I is pressed on selected text, and the bold/italic dropdown in the toolbar also changes to italic, but the text on the canvas doesn't change. I can do this for fonts like Lato, but it doesn't work for the specified, and maybe other fonts as well. Where I used to be able to italicize individual words in textboxes with the font "Roboto Slab" or Impact in v1.1.2, this no longer works in 1.2.1. I recently upgraded from Inkscape 1.1.2 to Inkscape 1.2.1.
